It was the first song he had written way back 2009. It took over a decade to get to the final version after it had grown, evolved, and been rewritten numerous times. It was an effort to depict the mood of a time in our lives when we're going through a transition or a change, as if we were in the middle of the gradient colors. Like a shift from high school to college, or from a teenager to an adult life. The excitement behind moving to a new city or any phase of life involving a change in direction.

Finding the middle ground between the heaviness of Shoegaze and the atmosphere of Dreampop with an Indie Rock Flavor. Combining the sonic textures of ambient synth pads and fuzzed-out rock guitars replete with huge hooks and melancholic melodies on an elevated groove. It makes sure to soothe old wounds, revisit blissful times, and honor bittersweet memories that life has thrown at you through constant change.

to pass by and fill the time
chasing on the other side of this fine line

between the gradient colours of this scenery
the bittersweet taste in my mouth
is all my eyes can see

memories come flooding down
haunts you in black and white
slowly getting blurry until the
time’s out of sight

tryna’ spark stale conversations
you can’t seem to last
forgotten plans and schemes in dreams 
will never change your past

still taking slow but in a rush
worries to grow, keeping your trust
on everything from dawn to dusk
but all will change when stars will light up

how it feel so strange? 
when everything has changed
when the lines have drawn
for some reasons unknown

getting up to become so tired
and losing yourself
and still trying to have some fun
this new life has begun

lazy eyes that keep staring through 
into this maze 
and realized, what’s you're chasing is 
just in your head
rise and see
clouds keep changing with the sea
all will fall in it’s place

why it feels so strange? 
when everything has changed
when the memories were gone
but it comes stirring through your head

when it's hard to see the signs
and rushing instead
of taking time, having fun
this new life has begun
